A Haiku On Performance And Wellbeing

Inspired by ‘The News in Haikus’ on the Naked Week podcast, I’ve written a haiku of my own:

Recovery fuels,

Like rain restores thirsty roots,

To perform. Fulfilled.

This haiku emphasizes the importance of self-care for consistent, high-level performance.

Just as rain restores depleted roots, recovery recharges our body battery.

Recovery enhances our energy, wellbeing, and our ability to perform.

By prioritising restorative activities – including sleep, high quality fuelling, (outdoor) exercise & social interactions - we put strong foundations in place so we can perform to our best more often.

Ultimately this leads to a happier and more fulfilled life.

What restorative activities are most important for you?

Writing haikus might become a restorative activity for me now!
